Reef Experience

Was the best Reef Experience ever!!!! Great crew, great snorkeling, great everything ❤️❤️!! A BIIGG shout out to Max (you are awesome 🤗) and Jamie for showing us around taking to the best views and doing their best to give us the best experience. Max took us not once but twice snorkelling! We wouldn’t have seen what we saw if it wasn’t for you!! Haven’t seen anything like it before. Thank you so so much!

BEST DAY EVER We travelled to Cairns last October for a special family vacation. As part of this we did a "cattle class" reef tour on the first day we were there with another company. We enjoyed this but felt that with the stop at Green Island, then accommodating for lunch, that the day as a whole felt rushed. Plus we were crammed in with everyone on the lower deck. We decided we'd like to visit the reef again but have a more personal trip. We had kept the last day of our trip free and luckily we were able to book at short notice a "Reef Experience Top Deck Tour." This was honestly the best decision we made on the trip. Firstly I should say that the booking staff were so helpful. We had the most magical day ever. We had our own personal staff member, Katie, for the day. Our family of four were in the wheelhouse with one other couple*, The staff brought us our food and beverages. A beautiful fruit platter for breakfast/morning tea on the way out. When we arrived at the first dive spot all our snorkel gear was brought to us by Katie. She took us out snorkeling which was a big help as our 9 & 11 yo weren't super confident. Katie was so relaxed and made it really fun. We had a great family photo taken in the water. We were served lunch as we travelled to the second dive spot. At this location I chose to dive which was a big deal as I'd only dived once before and didn't have a great experience. I wasn't going to dive but Katie was so encouraging that I felt confident enough to give it go. It was terrific and I felt like Katie really listened through my fears and concerns and made sure we dived slowly and safely. It was definitely worth the extra money to have the top deck experience. We would DEFINITELY book this trip again if we get back to Cairns. *There were other people in the wheelhouse on the way out and way back who were either heading out to stay on the reef or coming back, but it was our space while out on the reef.

This is truly a once in a lifetime experience! 12/10 recommend booking this excursion and diving the Great Barrier Reef! I have never scuba dived, but the instructors are very helpful and encouraging both in and out of the water, especially if it’s your first dive. The photographer captured amazing shots of my group - and with a sea turtle! The crew serves a fresh breakfast and lunch with additional options at the bar. They also offer a variety of affordable packages to rent your own GoPro and take home the SD card with all your pictures and videos. If you visit Australia, this is a bucket list item you do not want to miss! Thank you Anna, Santiago, and crew!!!

Excellent experience and customer service from Gabrielle our personal tour host today. Highly recommend buying the 'top deck' package. We cannot fault the whole day and reef experience. Food and personalised service was outstanding. Gabrielle was both patient and informative when learning to scuba dive. All the other staff were amazing, friendly and helpful throughout the day too. Do yourself a favour and upgrade to Top Deck and spend the day treated as a VIP.

It was one of best experience I had at Cairns. Reef Encounter was a little old vessel on first look so I was disappointed to be honest. But friendly staff and well organised program made me enjoy best time. Plus all food they served was nice, yummy and healthy! What else can I ask more?? Well done Reef Encounter! I would come back for sure.

We had a great time with Reef Experience. Crew was nice and friendly. Hotel pick up and breakfast a bonus. Lunch and wine on the way back lovely. Big shout out to Morty who was extremely helpful and patient during the intro scuba dive with my daughter and other participants. Only slight con is the boat stops next to the Reef Encounter boat on the way there to drop off people and supplies and then again on the way back to pick up a few people. But overall great value for money and a fantastic trip! Thanks Reef Experience!
